San José is the capital of Costa Rica and the biggest city of the country.
It is located right in the center of the country with an average weather between 63°F and 81°F.
San José is full of diversity with a dense population of around 3, 000 000 people. As any other capital, San José is the political, economic, and social center of the country.
FUN FACT: Believe it or not, the Juan Santa María airport IS NOT in San Jose… Yep. If you flew to that airport, you actually were in Alajuela.
So, what can you go see in such a busy city?
In downtown San José, you can enjoy visiting the National Theater of Costa Rica, the Marco Fidel Tristán Castro Museum of Jade, the Pre-Columbian Gold Museum, and the Central Market.
