Heredia

Heredia, the City of the Flowers, is part of the Central Valley and it is close to San José.

It was originally the richest coffee producing city of the country, and today, you can still find coffee plantations around the province which is still vital for the local economy.

It is the perfect city to stay away from the crazy traffic and conglomeration of people in the capital. It is a small city perfect to walk around and learn about its colonial history.

But besides its colonial buildings, the city also offers a variety of places to visit. Starting with Coffee Tours, bird and wildlife watching, and hiking.

Enjoy of a beautiful weather that stays around 63°F and 82°F.
